Booking Policies
We are excited to share Montana's incredible birds, wildlife, and wild places with you. Please review the following booking and cancellation policies before reserving your trip.
Booking Your Trip
A 50% deposit is required to secure your reservation. Once your deposit is received, your trip date will be held exclusively for your group.
The remaining balance is due on the day of your trip.
Because all Morning Chorus Outfitters experiences are private and customized, availability is limited and advance reservations are encouraged.
cancellations and refunds
We understand that plans can change.
Cancellations made more than 30 days before your scheduled trip will receive a full refund of the deposit.
Cancellations made within 30 days of the trip will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.
Same-day cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable.
Deposits help reserve guide availability and compensate for dates that may be difficult to rebook on short notice.
Weather & River Conditions
The safety of our guests and the well-being of wildlife always come first.
Montana weather and river conditions can change quickly. If a trip must be canceled or modified due to unsafe weather, water conditions, wildfires, road closures, or other circumstances beyond our control, we will work with you to:
Reschedule your trip to another available date, or
Provide a full refund of any payments made.
In some cases, a float trip may be converted to a hiking or land-based birding experience if conditions make that the safest option.
Guest Responsibilities
Guests are responsible for arriving on time at the designated meeting location and being prepared for the conditions of the day.
We recommend bringing:
Weather-appropriate clothing
Sun protection
Water
Binoculars (if available)
Camera equipment (optional)
Additional trip-specific recommendations will be provided before your outing.
